VALLEY POWER SYSTEMS IS SEEKING LARGE ENGINE TECHNICIANS.

Must be willing to learn large engine service work, both gas and diesel (Waukesha and EMD). Willing to travel extensively worldwide and work non-traditional hours. Position requires self-starter and ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Requires three years of hands-on field service or shop experience servicing, rebuilding and operating large industrial reciprocating engines (>500 Hp). Candidate must be a factory trained and certified mechanic by at least one major reciprocating engine manufacturer. Position requires understanding and demonstrated hands-on experience of electronic and mechanical engine control systems and engine auxiliary systems. Familiarity with generators and low voltage distribution and/or gas compression equipment and industrial instrumentation and control systems required. Good working knowledge of personal computers, including standard MS Office (Excel, Word etc). Excellent communication skills and proven customer relation management skills. Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain a service truck, including tools and instruments, as well as manage a spare parts inventory. Candidates must be willing and able to become certified on other types of equipment, mechanical and electric, as may be required by business needs. Good driving record and ability to lift 75 lbs required.
